Johnny Piñata

My first exposure to Mana’o Radio was on an afternoon in December of 2002. I was driving along Kula Highway and stumbled upon 91.5. The music began to flow together as a clear theme emerged. The Dj was Bill Best and to my ears this was “stream of consciousness” radio. I was immediately hooked.
As an avid listener , in 2008 my business became an underwriter. There was no turning back now!
My first experience on air was in June 2019 as a guest host on Pistol Pete’s Wednesday staple show, ‘Something For Nothing’. Then came my “summer internship” with Pete in 2022, followed by an unforgettable Sunday with the great “Big Al” Shepps on his jazz show, ‘Soundcheck’! After several stints subbing on Wednesday afternoons, I got my own show, and, just as important, a key to the studio!
