Mana’o Radio welcomes singer/songwriter Steve Grimes to ProArts for: An Evening Of Stories And Songs, From Funky To Folk, From Rumor To Humor, From Heartbreak To Hope.
Steve Grimes may be most known for making some of the world’s finest guitars, but he is also a beloved Maui singer/songwriter who performs regularly, both as a solo artist, and with his group The Ono Grimes Band. Grimes is a prolific songwriter, having released 4 albums of original songs, and having won a national songwriting contest in 2011.
He has also been a finalist in the Nā Hōkū Hanohano Music awards in Hawaii. His original songs range in styles from folk to funk, from blues to bossa nova.
