Mana’o Radio invites you to enjoy hapa-Samoan artist and Honolulu resident Taimane as she makes her ProArts Playhouse debut performing a salute to the season with her band.
Join us for an unforgettable holiday show unlike any other with Taimane lighting up the stage with her fiery, mashup medleys, soul-stirring original compositions and heartwarming holiday favorites presented in her unique, signature style.
A four-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner, Taimane has taken the ukulele to places never previously seen or even envisioned. With her recordings, she has broken down musical barriers using the four-string island staple to summon a full palette of emotions from songs ranging from classical to classic rock, flamenco infernos to tribal hymns. In addition, Taimane incorporates elements of dance, theater and cultural storytelling into her live performances keeping audiences’ rapt attention and perched on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
