Mana’o Radio welcomes co-headliners, Arlie Asiu (ay-sue) Band and The Hula Honeys: two phenomenal ukulele bands together for one beautiful evening of Hawaiian music.
Leading the Arlie Asiu Band is Wailuku native, Arlie Asiu, a Master ʻUkulele player and music composer. A three-time Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards Finalist for ʻUkulele Album of the Year, the Arlie Asiu Band will perform original compositions that cross multiple music genres, including elements of jazz, blues, and rock, taking ʻukulele, providing a refreshing new sound for this age-old instrument.
The Hula Honeys is a trio well-known throughout Maui. Their music is reminiscent of Waikikiʻs golden era, blending vintage hapa-haole songs with hip jazz classics.
