Mana’o Radio is excited to join forces with Maui radio personality and community journalist, Trish da Dish, as we continue our mission of supporting live music on Maui and the musicians who make it thrive.
Join us on select Thursdays for our Facebook LIVE show called Mana’o@Home!
Trish presents an hour-long talk story, interview, and live music experience featuring a respected Maui artist/band on the Mana’o Radio Facebook page LIVE stream.
We are grateful to the brand new Backlit Buddha Studios in Kahului for allowing us to present this episode of MANA’O@HOME in their beautiful new rehearsal studio!
There is a virtual tip jar for artists to allow Mana’o Radio friends and fans the opportunity to support their favorite artists while enjoying live music performed by some of Maui’s finest musicians in the comfort of their own home. Front row for all!

This episode PAT SIMMONS JR joins us to share his original music live and talk story about his passionate and humble life on Maui.
He refers to himself as “a surfer by dawn, farmer and father by day, and musician at night”, and is all about harvesting goodness whenever onstage, in the forest or on his farm with his family.
Pat’s music is an organic blend of American folk-rock, country, blues, and reggae, flavored with Hawaiian influences. He has opened for Steve Earle, Xavier Rudd, Trevor Hall and the Nelson Family in recent years, and grew up sharing stages and being on the road with musical legends such as his father, Pat Simmons Sr. of The Doobie Brothers.
Pat Jr. is all about keeping it real, perpetuating the culture of Hawai’i and is an inspiration to many young artists. He uses his music as a tool for activism, education and awareness, and is a beautiful example of using your platform for goodness in this wild world.
